It starts when you arrive. The cottage is very clean! It is well stocked with cards, board games and puzzles. The kitchen is ready for any cooking requirements. The beds are comfortable and the rooms a good size. It's important to note, no air conditioning but we didn't need it so no problem. Windows open and fresh air flowing we were good.

This cottage property offers some stuff I didn't expect but was quite pleased with.

Now the beach: This is not a typical beach where you lay out and go for a nice dip in your bare feet. No, this is a unique beach and frankly a better beach. The tide goes in and out quite a bit. It is rocky and well covered with shells. When the tide is out you can wander the ocean floor for what seems like forever. Has to be at least 200 ft out. The kids had a blast watching hermit crabs, searching for shells and digging in the wet sand. Bring water shoes!

The binder in the cottage tells you everything you need to know and was very helpful. The guest book has some good reads in it from past guests.

We built stone people in various places to see how they would hold up to the tides every day.

One thing that caught me off guard was the little 19" tube TV. My kids had never seen one like that. We were excited to give them the "old time" experience of going and renting a movie from a store, then watching it on a little square TV like it was when we were kids. But, sadly the local store has stopped renting movies. I recommend bringing a couple dvds and giving the kids an experience from your past.

Everything in the cottage was arranged so well we didn't need a single thing from the owners during our stay. It was a great, very relaxing stay and we will definitely be back next year!

The boardwalk is long, and with the marshy area it breeds mosquitos quite well. But, "Off Family" was more than enough to keep the bugs at bay. The mosquitos were really the only downside. But it was manageable.
